Book 2 Program
For students who currently take a Suzuki violin or cello Book 2
group class, the Newfoundland & Labrador Suzuki Institute
offers a full day program.
The following classes will be scheduled between 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM Monday through Friday:
Orff class or Orchestra rehearsal
1 Enrichment class: Fiddle or Body Mapping
Book 2 students are welcome and encouraged to attend all guest faculty and student concerts as well as any Institute-wide social activities. Book 2 students will perform on the Final Concert, and will be invited to sign up for our Solo Recital.
Parents play an extremely important role in the Suzuki method and are expected to attend all lessons and classes with their child 12 years and under. Parents are encouraged to attend our Parent Talk series during choir.
Book 2 students should bring their instruments on Sunday for our camp play-in immediately following check-in. Regular daily classes begin Monday.
Students taking Orchestra will need to bring a music stand each day. Please label with your name. Orchestra placement will be based on STEP musicianship levels completed or recommendation by your private teacher.
Preference for enrichment class can be made at registration, but first choice is not guaranteed. Students will be assigned to appropriate fiddle level by NLSI Director.
